June Update about the 2020 Season

Illinois has moved into Phase 3 of Restore Illinois, which allows limited youth sports. The RLL Board has met virtually a number of times to discuss whether to offer a season and what that season might look like. We considered a variety of factors, such family feedback to our survey, availability of coaches, age of children, and need to schedule with other towns (who may or may not be offering a Little League experience in 2020). 

Based on our discussions, the RLL Board made decisions for each RLL division as follows:
  • Softball Juniors - This division will be CANCELLED; refunds will be issued; please email us if your child would like to play down with Softball Majors
  • Softball Majors - This division will PRACTICE ONLY as it relies on other towns to play games; refunds will be issued; please see below for June 2020 Guidelines
  • Softball Minors - This division will be CANCELLED; refunds will be issued 
  • Softball Junior Minors - This division will PRACTICE ONLY; refunds will be issued; please see below for June 2020 Guidelines
  • Baseball Juniors - This division will be CANCELLED as it relies on using fields in North Riverside and NR has cancelled Little League; refunds will be issued 
  • Baseball Majors - This division will PRACTICE in June; depending on what is allowed in Phase 4 and when the state moves into that phase, RLL may schedule games later in the summer; if you do not want your child participating this season, please email us for a refund; amount and timing of refunds for those choosing to play will be determined at a later date; please see below for June 2020 Guidelines 
  • Baseball Minors - This division will PRACTICE ONLY; refunds will be issued; please see below for June 2020 Guidelines
  • Baseball Junior Minors - This division will PRACTICE ONLY; refunds will be issued; please see below for June 2020 Guidelines
  • Pee Wee - This division will be CANCELLED; refunds will be issued
  • Tee Ball - This division will be CANCELLED; refunds will be issued
